MetroCare Membership Program
Peace of Mind When You Need It Most
Today’s medical care is more advanced than ever—and while it saves countless lives, it can also be expensive. At Metro-Area Ambulance Service (MAAS), we never want you to hesitate to call 911 because you’re worried about the cost of an ambulance. That’s why we created the MetroCare Membership Program, an affordable, easy-to-enroll option designed to reduce the financial burden of emergency ambulance services for your entire household.
MAAS is committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate medical care when you and your family need it most. Our membership program ensures you receive that care without unexpected out-of-pocket costs.
What Is the MetroCare Membership Program?
The MetroCare Membership Program is an official program of Metro-Area Ambulance Service that helps offset the cost of emergency medical responses. Without a membership, a single emergency call can cost hundreds of dollars. With MetroCare, your annual membership prepays your copayments and deductibles for medically necessary ambulance services for which you are financially responsible.
Membership also provides reduced fees for medically necessary non-emergency transports that are not covered by insurance.
Important: MetroCare Membership is not insurance and is not intended to replace or supplement insurance coverage. You must have active health insurance to participate.
Membership Benefits
As a MetroCare member, you will not be billed for medically necessary emergency or non-emergency ambulance care and transportation within a 15-mile radius of Bismarck-Mandan during your membership term.
Additional member benefits include:
-
Prepaid copays and deductibles for eligible medically necessary ambulance services
-
Reduced rates for non-emergency transports not covered by insurance
-
One non-covered, no-transport/lift-assist visit per membership year at no cost
-
Discounted rates for additional no-transport/lift-assist responses
-
Peace of mind knowing your family is financially protected in an emergency
Metro-Area Ambulance Service reserves the right to determine medical necessity for all responses and transports.
Membership Fee
A MetroCare Membership costs $50 per household per year.
A household includes a husband, wife, and dependent children under 21 years old who live at the same residence.
Effective Date
Your annual membership becomes active 10 days after MAAS receives:
